Health Career Virtual Reality (VR)
Wisconsin AHEC is partnering with Transfr to offer virtual reality simulations of various health careers for students. Through this innovative approach, students will have the opportunity to explore various health careers and develop and achieve mastery of skills needed in patient seeing health careers.

- Registered Nurse – Help an emergency patient
- Surgical Technologist – Assist with knee surgery
- Medical Assistant – Assist with an electrocardiogram
- Pharmacy Technician – Prepare an intravenous infusion
- Radiologic Technologist – Capture an x-ray of a leg wound
- Phlebotomist – Perform a blood draw
- Quality Control Analyst – Test a prosthetic leg
- Clinical Laboratory Technologist – Process a lab sample
Virtual Health Care Clinic
Focusing on multiple patient care foundations, students can practice and achieve mastery of different skills needed in hands-on, patient-seeing care. Simulations cover a variety of skills and range in time from fifteen minutes to an hour long.
